What It Does

Checks each word against a dictionary, offering spelling corrections. Supports locale-specific spelling (US/UK English). Skips dialogue by default (configurable). Handles proper nouns and technical terms gracefully through a supplemental dictionary.

Why It Matters

Spelling errors break immersion and undermine credibility. Even a single misspelled word can pull a reader out of the narrative.

Configuration

• Locale: en-US (default), en-GB — controls which spellings are accepted
• Check dialogue: Off by default (dialogue may use intentional misspellings)
