Flags exotic speech verbs that draw attention to themselves.
What It Does
Detects "saidisms" — exotic speech verbs like "ejaculated," "opined," "expostulated" — that interrupt the reading flow.
Why It Matters
"Said" is invisible to trained readers. Exotic speech verbs ("she enthused," "he averred") call attention to the tag rather than the dialogue. In most contexts, "said" or "asked" is the better choice.
