Hedging Language

Flags narrative paragraphs with 3+ hedge words (seemed, somewhat, quite, rather).

What It Does

Counts hedging words in each narrative paragraph. Flags when more than 2 are present, indicating uncommitted narration.

Why It Matters

Hedging undercuts narrative authority. "She seemed somewhat nervous" is vague; "Her fingers drummed the table" is concrete. Commit to the description.
